Quota International

Specifically, Quota clubs are working towards UN MDG Goals 1 and 3: to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, and to promote gender equality and empower women, respectively.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/ )〕 The organization was founded in Buffalo, New York in 1919 by Wanda Frey Joiner, as a service club for women similar to that of popular all-male clubs. Today, membership includes both women and men in communities around the world. Current membership exceeds 5,600, representing approximately 270 clubs in 13 countries.
